April 7, 2004 River Park Square
to Add Home Furnishings and Gift Store
River Park Square today announced a lease has been finalized with Chrysalis Home Interiors to join its line-up of specialty merchants. The local retailer will sell its distinctive casual to sophisticated home furnishings, accessories, and gifts from a 2,500-square-foot space on the center’s first level, next to Rock City Grill. According to Chrysalis owner Debbie Kerns, the store is relocating from its Spokane Valley location to downtown to take advantage of River Park Square’s setting and increased customer activity. “I love the look and feel of the redeveloped River Park Square,” said Kerns. “It is a better fit for this store.” Kerns added the new store will provide additional wall space, allowing for expanded merchandise offerings. Chrysalis has 4 employees. It is expected to open in the fall. “The addition of
Chrysalis enhances River Park Square’s unique merchandise mix,” said Bob
Smith, general manager of River Park Square. “It also underscores
the project developer’s commitment to supporting local retailers.”
